The recital in the foyer of the Bucharest National Opera brings the soloists of the country's first opera closer to the audience. The program will include famous arias from operas from the current repertoire of the Bucharest National Opera, but also important works that are rarely found in the program of opera theaters.
The coffee and music concept started from the idea that opera and coffee are based on legendary stories. An example of this is "Don Giovanni" the work composed by the genius Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, based on the legend of Don Juan and the beginnings of the use of coffee are shrouded in legend. It is said that Sheikh Omar of Mocha, Yemen, who, being exiled to a cave, tried to eat the fruits of the nearby forest bushes, but found them bitter. To improve their taste, he roasted and boiled them, making a fragrant and revitalizing drink that kept him alive. The story "wonder drug" reached Mocha, Omar being recalled among the people and made a saint.
