Friday, June 3, 2022, 18,30:XNUMX p.m, in the Season of Concerts and Recitals, Bucharest National Opera presents a Extraordinary Recital entitled "Pages of History" dedicated Centenary of Institutionalization to which the current artistic season is dedicated. The directorial concept is signed by Alexander Nagy.
Artists appreciated and loved by the public will participate: the sopranos Irina Iordăchescu and Mihaela Stanciu, the mezzo-sopranos Oana Andra and Sorana Black, the tenor Lucian Corchis, the baritone Vasile Chișiu and the bass Marius Bolos accompanied by pianists Monica Gemini and Liana Mares.
The program will include famous pages from the current repertoire but which were also performed during the glorious Centenary, arias from the operas "The Marriage of Figaro" de Mozart, "The Barber of Seville" de Rossini, "Don Pasquale" and "Elixir of Love" de Donizetti, "Nabucco", "Rigoletto", "The Troubadour", "Otello" de Verdi, "Carmen" by Bizet, "Samson and Delilah" de Saint-Saëns, "Evgeny Onegin" de Tchaikovsky, "Manon Lescaut" de Puccini.
The evening will be moderated by Prof. Dr. Stephan Poen, Doctor of Medicine and Musicology which, starting from the artistic moments presented, will evoke events and artistic personalities consecrated during the Centenary, with the projections of a wide photographic series containing Glorious History pages of the Bucharest National Opera. In the introduction dedicated to the founder George Stephanescu, two recordings of the legendary Romanian soprano will be heard for the first time in the theater hall Hariclea Darclée performed many absolute premieres among them "Tosca" de Puccini created by the composer for her voice.
