"Tango" and "Radio and Juliet" are shows that left an imprint on my life and deeply marked my path and my evolution as an artist. "Tango" is my first show, which I performed at a relatively young age, only 23 years old. This is reflected in the show, through direct, honest communication without conceptual compromises. It is a show that somehow intimidates me with its emotional power and I relive it, not easily, as a mirror of that youth.

The ballerinas who put full value, in the first part of this year, in the pure and abstract classical style of George Balanchine or the neoclassical-modern one of Ioan Tugearu, were confronted this time, in the two pieces now staged by Edward Clug, with a modern style that they have not approached until now, their interpretative palette thus diversifying spectacularly.

In two
Tango. Radio and Juliet is a show that unites two choreographies created by Edward Clug - an artist of Romanian origin settled in Slovenia - in which elements of theater and contemporary dance can be found and musical fragments extremely diverse in genre - from Astor Piazzolla to Goran Bregovic and Radiohead . While the first choreography was presented for the first time, under the title "Tango", in 1998, at the National Theater in Maribor (Slovenia) - where the artist today leads the institution's ballet company - the second choreography, "Radio and Juliet", saw the light of the stage also in Maribor, in 2005.
Tango, one of the most passionate dances in the world, and the eternal lovers Romeo and Juliet meet in a unique way in the performance "Tango. Radio and Juliet" to give life to the most powerful and contradictory states: passion, love, disillusionment, loneliness.
