Unifying Worlds – From Beethoven to Enescu

Teodora Enache-Brody performs the concert on Wednesday, September 18, at the Bucharest National Opera Uniting the Worlds - From Beethoven to Enescu. The concert is organized in the series Creative Bucharest of the George Enescu International Festival 2021. Together with Teodora, they will perform Călin Grigoriu on guitar, Andrei Kivu on cello and Joca Perpignan on percussion, with the Romanian Opera Choir as a special guest.

The concert Uniting Worlds  will lead the audience on a surprising inner journey, where the versatile and creative Teodora Brody will combine elements of classical music with the spontaneity of jazz, as well as the depth and strength of the doina.

The result will be a program in which Teodora Brody will present world-unique vocal versions of classical instrumental opuses, including some for the first time: Rhapsodyle I and II by George Enescu, Pathetic and Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven; The dancee Romanian by Bartok and  Canon by J. Pachelbel.

In these difficult times, when people need more than ever to find themselves and recover the joy of living, the concert Uniting Worlds addressed not only to jazz and classical music lovers, but also to the general public, interested in musical eclecticism and exploring the new. What makes this concert special is a unifying experience that comes from the beauty of the sounds that Teodora Brody achieves, at the meeting of different musical genres and worlds.
