Răzvan Cacoveanu was born in Bucharest in 1993. From 2004 to 2012, he studied ballet at the “Floria Capsali” Choreography High School.

Between 2012 and 2014, he danced at the National Theater of Split, Croatia, then in the Nutcracker show (2014) at the Tivoli Ballet Theater, Denmark, at the Bucharest National Opera (2015-2016 season) at the Royal Ballet of Flanders, Belgium 2016-2017)  and from 2017 returns to the Bucharest National Opera.

His repertoire includes classical and contemporary performances: “Giselle”, “La Bayadere”, “Swan Lake”, “Le Corsaire”, “Anna Karenina”, “Don Quixote”, “The Sleeping Beauty”, “Theme and Variations”, “Classical Symphony”, also demi-soloist and solo roles in ballets:

“The Dream” – Demetrius, “La Fille mal Gardee” – Colas’s friend, Sir Frederik Ashton choreography, “Manon” –Three Dancing Gents choreography Sir Kenneth MacMillan, “DSCH” – Three couples, Alexei Ratmansky choreography, “Le Corsaire” Ali, choreography Vasily Medvedev at the Bucharest National Opera.

The Nutcracker – Fritz at the Tivoli Ballet Theater, “Sleeping Beauty” – Blue Bird, “Nutcracker” – Soldier, “Don Quijote” – Solo Gypsy, ” La Bayadere” – Bronze Idol at Split National Theater, Croatia.

Since 2018, he is the demi-soloist of the Bucharest National Opera.
